第一课时  Unit 7  Work With Language

【设计理念】

《英语新课程标准》明确指出“教师应该避免单纯传授语言知识的教学法, 并尽量采用‘任务型’的教学途径。” (任务型教学就是根据现实生活中的交际制定语言学习任务, 由学生围绕这一任务制定计划, 并通过自己的努力去实现计划、完成任务、而且在这一过程中不断评估自己的学习(Ellis, 1999)。“从认知心理学角度看, 学生英语学习和习得的过程一方面是学生通过完成任务不断地将所学的知识内化的过程, 另一方面是学生在完成任务的过程中不断地将所学的知识表现出来的外显过程, 而学生的主体性正是通过内化和外显的无数次交替而逐步形成、发展和完善起来的。因而, 任务型教学法极能体现学生的主体性,是有效改变以往教师讲授为主、学生极少有机会使用目标语进行交际的教学现状的最佳途径之一(N uman, 1989)。”)

根据北师大何克抗教授的“语觉论”,抓住儿童语言能力发展的关键期,以情境交际为中心,引导孩子在语境中学习新知,又在达成任务的运用中巩固新知、迁移新知。

此外本课还借助现代信息技术,努力为学生创设理想的英语学习环境,提供丰富的学习资源,以“两两说”为突破口,开展看图会话、小组合作表演、听写运用等多种活动,培养和提高语言的综合运用能力。

 

【教学内容分析】

本课是Module 3的第一课时,侧重于教授形容词的比较级。主要词汇有:large, bright, better, pupil, thousand, more, more than。本节课融合了旧知识school、 形容词以及数词等旧知识,贴近学生生活,又丰富了学生的语言积累,同时将爱校情感教育渗透于英语教学中。

 

【学习者情况分析】

1.                    The children are able to talk about the names of the buildings at school and they get to know how to talk about the things in the school. They are enjoying learning further in the topic. The schools are what they are interested in and familiar with.

2.                  The pupils are efficient in group work. They can behave themselves much better now than before.

3.                  They will get happy in learning this topic and the new grammar.

【教学目标】

1、              语言知识目标

    (1)vocabulary:large, bright, better, pupil, thousand, more, more than

     (2)Patterns: “be  ---er than …”

     (3) Daily chunks: the rhyme

     (4) Grammar: To learn the general rules of making comparatives.

2、             语言技能目标

(1)       memorize the new words and use them suitably.

(2)      Describe the school and compare things.

(3)      Make comments and be able to share your opinions with your friends.

3、             情感态度目标

     Through the game and the chant, motivate and involve the children. Through presentation (compare things), present the comparatives and go over the school things. Through creative tasks (designing their own school and talk about it) in groups, consolidate and develop their confidence and creativity. Get them to love their own school.

4、             学习策略目标

     Encourage the children to cooperate with others and finish the task together. Help the kids to collect the errors they made and ask for help from the teacher. Use the language learnt.

5、             文化意识目标

We should respect and understand the different schools in the world. Keep an open mind to accept all ideas.

 

【策略选择】

本课根据上述目标和学生的情况选择了如下策略:

1、“两两说”环节——同伴互助策略:充分发掘和利用学生的资源,以生促教,生生互教,从而树立学生的自信心,让他们体验到学习的成就感,从而进一步激发学习兴趣。

2、情境交际策略:在模拟真实的情景中学和用英语知识,让英语的交际性充分发挥。

3、自主学习策略:激励和鼓励自主学习,在听读模仿逐步向产出过渡,达到高年段英语教学要求。

4、整合策略:充分发挥多媒体的优势,为学生提供丰富的交际环境,增加学生的语言积累,培养学生自主学习的能力。通过听写巩固词汇和句型,将感性认识提升到理性认识,提高课堂教学效率,向40分钟要质量。

5、做中学的策略:课后让孩子在设计自己的学校的过程中认识美、追求美,激发爱校的情怀,激发孩子口头、笔头表达、交际的欲望。

6、回忆旧知识,并滚动运用;

7、任务型教学;

8、激发学习兴趣,听说领先,读写紧跟。

 

【资源准备】

1、  教学课件

2、 供学生交际的资源:Pictures of two schools,parts of school buildings

3、 供学生组内合作初次写作用的油性笔、大卡纸

 

【教学过程】

第一环节:课前热身、复习旧知、明确任务

1.        set up the friendly atmosphere by greetings, self introduction and getting them ready to learn the new lesson.

     Good afternoon, children. Nice to meet you. My name is Miss Ye. I come from Peizheng Primary School. I am happy to visit your school and study with you. Are you happy today?

     讲课堂规则    笔/a smiling face, the best, the winner

2.  Look at the pictures, let’s chant:(T demos, then together)

3.  Leading in: All right, children. Let’s begin today’s lesson.

             Today we will learn a new lesson. 带读课题M3U7 。

             We will learn the rules of comparatives. Let’s learn further. We will  write a short passage to compare your school and my school. 通过这节课的学习,我要求同学们能够熟练掌握形容词比较级的规则和运用,我们的任务是运用形容词的比较级,对比善施学校和培正小学,楼层高矮、操场大小、学生人数多少等。


通过读小诗复习学校的设施名称和功能室的词汇,并唤醒学生开口的欲望,同时帮助学生明确学习目标和学习任务,也为下文的说话训练做好热身准备。


 

 

 

 


第二环节:层层深入,创设情境,学习新知,完成任务

Pre-task:

1、形容词的比较级是什么呢?Guessing Game:

What five-letter word becomes shorter when you add two letters to it?

给形容词加er词尾,表示“更”,比较两种事物,这就是比较级。

2. Well, we are going to learn comparatives. 比较级怎样构成呢?We have learnt these sentences: 观察我们学过这些含有比较级的句子,比较级的变化规则是什么?

She is one year older than me.

He looks thinner than before.

He goes to bed later than me.

(1)比较级通常在形容词、副词末尾加er

(2)比较级通常用than比较两者

(3)形容词变成比较级形式的规律

板书large, bright   

板书左内容, 学生一边小结,教师一边归纳规则 (规则变化5条7个例子)

             将教学主动权下放,让孩子有充分的表达自己所学的知识的机会。

 

Exercise 1 写出这些词的比较级(规则)

 

(4) 不规则变化的形容词比较级

板书more, more than, better

板书左内容, 学生一边小结,教师一边归纳规则(不规则变化2个例子)

 

There are 24 classrooms in Peizheng School.

There are 36 classrooms in Shanshi School.

                   

There are more classrooms in Shangshi School than in Peizheng School.


创设情境,为本课学习降低难度,用图片高效地完成单词的音形义结合的教学,调动学生学习的积极主动性。既让学生体验到成就感,也将新旧知识联系起来,以旧带新。


 

 

 

 


3. Guessing Game: To have a rest and be more vigorous in the later task.

Who is closer to you, your dad or your mum?

4. Further more:

       (5)少数单音节的形容词的比较级前加more

(6) 表示两者差异的程度的句子,可以在形容词的比较级前加副词或者别的表示程度 的词

        (7) 两个形容词的比较级用and连起来,表示“越来越”

5. Let’s practice: Exercise 2-3-4


层层深入,环环紧扣,加深对教学中 重点和难点的认识,为本课教学任务的顺利开展作更充分的准备。对于形容词的比较级这个知识讲解充分,条理清晰。将教学主动权下放,让孩子有充分的表达自己所学的知识的机会。

 


 

 

 

 


While-task:

3.  Show the table and T demos     板书pupil, thousand     板书两个句子

     Our school is larger than Peizheng School.

     There are more pupils in Shanshi School than Peizheng School.

4.   Group work: Write the passage to compare the two schools with the guidance of the table 播放歌曲作为背景音乐

Write down on the large paper. Use the marker pen.

 

Post-task:

1. Share our opinions together and check the pupils’ work first by the other pupils, then by T.将教学主动权下放,让孩子有充分的表达自己所学的知识的机会。

2. The second writing by yourselves. 让学生在练习纸写第二次,吸取之前的经验,增加语言的准确性。

3. Today’s homework:


Copy the new words of Unit 7.
Read Unit 7 for two times.
“Activity Book”  P28 Ex.4    P29   Ex.5

4.    Write a passage to compare Shanshi School and Peizheng School.

4. End the lesson and say goodbye. Thank you, children. The winner is …
